Spirits are usually high over at the chic venue that is @deerparkcountryhouse 🍾 But the corks flew more than usual when it was host to @southwestwineschool and their evening of alcoholic education. The walled garden and orangery, were filled with wines from around the globe, some from as little as 25 Miles, all the way from fantastic vino from South Africa and the Napa Valley. Everyone also had the chance to guzzle the DP’s very own cider, made from apples grown on site - I may have walked off with a crate...well, it’s incredible with cheese! A bloody wonderful evening, fabulous food provided by @deerparkcountryhouse (that lamb...if you know, then you know)... a pleasure to capture. With only 14 hours left in Italy before @harrycornwall and I had to hop on an early flight back home. The hottest day of our break had arrived (of course) and the prospect of traipsing around Naples, with a beautiful, but easily bored 10 month old, didn’t appeal. So, we contacted the very tranquil @hotelpuntaquattroventi just 20 mins from #naplesairport in the historic #ercolano area. Luxury’s like air conditioning, woodfired pizza, swimming pools, private beach... Italian cookery classes - I know!? (Next time!!) Not to forget the patient & attentive staff. That made our final few hours much easier. Especially when catering for the nap times and strict routines of a scruffy pickle, like Elliot. Room service and crisp white wine on a balcony with a sea view, certainly made the transition from holiday to home, much easier. A break from what we’d usually go for but I can tell you now, with 100% certainty, I’m glad we did.
