39 years. That's how long I've been tripping over non-existent objects for. 39, years. To mark such a momentous age, on the 19th @harrycornwall took me to a delicious haven. Found just a frizz-bee toss over from the Devonshire county line, nestled amongst the lush Cornish grass, flanked by rabbits, patrolled by a Nazi duck, grunting fuzzy mangalitsa pigs (so cute, so very very delicious ahhh my brain!), swooping squadrons of swallows and a soulful cat (David👊🏻). Sits the culinary oasis, @coombesheadfarm ❤️.
After stalking the place on IG (lurking & liking - you know you do it too) & hearing the word on the hedgerows about what chefs @aprilbloomfield & @tom_m_adams had created on this 60+ acre farm. I can honestly say that I was completely blown away! Feeling immediately at home by their hospitality and openness. In fact I was probably a bit to familiar (sorry. Tho at least I didn't make a peadophile joke, my usual awkward ice breaker), feeling like I could just pop downstairs, make a coffee and raid the fridge!

Another #celebration of dishes I've been lucky to capture. Now just look at the beautiful simplicity of this #dessert - from @waterside_bistro "Warm apricot and almond tart, apricot coulis, vanilla ice cream" - ahhhhhh, perfect.
Now just look at it. Let the thought of indulging in this little beauty, steal you away for a moment. What would you drink with it? Tea? Earl grey? A chilled Sauternes? Saki? Would you be sat with friends, sharing it out, insisting others try it, laughing spoon in hand like a deranged shampoo advert. Or fiercely guarding it, eyes blazing, one arm shrouding the dish like a parapet for your pudding. A good dessert should be a bookmark in you day, a moment that breaks time up and should sit in its own dimension. Give yourself a break, you deserve it.
